Born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs of Berwyn and Cicero, Angelica is an award-winning bilingual reporter who joined WGN TV News in October of 2023!
Prior to making her hometown return, Angelica spent seven years reporting for Fox 6 News in Milwaukee, where she headed the station’s award-winning series ‘Wisconsin’s Most Wanted,’ led the station’s coverage of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, and was honored with the 2019 Trailblazer in Media Award by the League of United Latin American Citizens — the largest and oldest Hispanic and Latino civil rights organization in the United States. Before Fox 6, Angelica’s first job in the News Industry was for FOX Champaign News WCCU/WICD where she was a reporter, evening anchor and fill-in producer. Collegiately, Angelica graduated with an Associates’ Degree in Arts from Morton College in Cicero before going on to Columbia College Chicago to complete her Bachelors’ degree in Journalism. Outside of work, familia is everything for Angelica, who enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. |
